Google is reportedly developing a new AI tool that could take over your web browser to carry out various tasks, and it's also working on an agent capable of controlling your computer beyond the browser. According to a report from Reuters, this AI project, known as "Project Jarvis," is expected to be part of Google's next release of its Gemini large language model (LLM). But Google isn't the only company pursuing this kind of technology; OpenAI is also said to be developing a computer-using agent (CUA) designed to navigate the web autonomously within your browser.

The AI tool aims to simplify online research and other tasks by allowing users to give direct commands in the browser. This would eliminate the need for creating APIs or using screen recordings for the AI to access user data. Instead, users could instruct the AI to perform tasks such as opening relevant web pages, organizing search results into tables, purchasing items, or booking travel arrangements, with the AI handling everything from filling out forms to clicking buttons.

If Google succeeds in launching this system, it could make AI tools significantly more user-friendly, even for those without any technical background. The AI would enable users to accomplish tasks simply by typing instructions into the browser, streamlining processes and enhancing accessibility by removing the need for technical know-how or complicated setups.

Google creating an AI agent to obliterate any vestige of privacy you have left on your PC.

i would rather give it its own thin PC, and subnet, then use a five finger, sneaker net interphase.
