I am currently working as a software engineer for a large web hosting company. I'd like to change roles to work somewhere I can learn more and work remotely full-time. I'd really appreciate a team that values simplicity. When writing HTTP APIs in Golang, I'd like to be able to use just the standard lib, instead of a Perl compiler that transforms a set of YAML files into a gargantuan caricature of an enterprise Java web server.
I am an excellent communicator, that is probably my greatest strength. I'm curious, I'm honest, and I'm kind. My favorite feedback from a manager that I've gotten is that I get along with everyone. I greatly appreciate logical rigor, and make a sincere effort to regularly examine my beliefs, in order to discard useless or false ones. I have a solid mathematical background - my undergrad and master's were both in mathematics, with a specialization in theoratical computer science and discrete math, and I regularly practice maths, often with friends, for the fun of it. I am a senior full-stack developer with over 5 years of experience building applications for the United States weather service (NOAA, NWS, OHD, NOMADS, etc.), Minnesota schools, and non-profit organizations. You’re a founder with a small, engineering-heavy team. You’ve got early revenue, a growing user base, and real traction, but no time to keep talking to users. You’ve outgrown founder-led support, and now you need someone to own everything user-facing.

At Pythagora (YC W24), I was the first customer hire. I built DevRel, support, docs, demos, community, and launch content from zero. I set up systems to pull user insights from Discord, GitHub, Reddit, and email and turned that into product direction. I ran influencer campaigns, launched features, and shipped full-stack demo apps to tell the product story.
Before that, I spent 7 years at Streak (YC S11), leading technical support, building internal tooling in SQL, Zapier, and BigQuery, and working closely with the founders to guide product.
