Salary: USD 150k / year
I'm an AI engineer and senior full-stack developer with an aspiration for a team/product lead or CTO-like position. For ~7 years, I was co-founder and CTO of an ed-tech company called amy.app. My co-founder and I scaled the company to about 25 employees. Before that, I earned a PhD in Human-Robot Interaction in NZ and Oxford. I've used the past year contracting, after winding down my company, to learn and apply as much as possible about AI solutions. I'm talking; LLM based email automation, AI call agent, RAG, Agentic-Search.Currently, I'm designing and working on an agentic enterprise search engine for the AEC industry.
I'm very product/customer-focused and pragmatic. I like to move super fast (not only because of Cursor :D).
My dream environment is an early-stage, fully remote startup.
PS: I have a family, which means the main compensation via shares isn't an option for me.

Résumé/CV: 20 years programming experience (13 years as a SSWE, 7 of those as a lead) Even spent a couple years as an overall IT director at a startup, but decided I much prefer to be coding! Mostly worked in eCommerce (created an ecommerce platform from scratch) before Shopify ate our lunch. I also spent a some time converting other platforms to shopify. The last 5 years I've worked in Call Center tech (Twilio based, very familiar with their APIs) and using LLMs (AI) to improve call center service (automatically analyzing call recordings for agent performance, call outcomes, customer sentiment, etc) I've mentored/taught several junior engineers when I was lead engineer as well.

Most recently I've worked on Tumbleweed (https://tumbleweed-cdc.github.io/), an open-source, user-friendly framework designed for fast and consistent data propagation between microservices using Change Data Capture (CDC) and the transactional outbox pattern.
I'm a backend-focused full stack software engineer who is friendly, self-driven, teamwork-oriented, and extremely cool! Also, I won't cheat on your coding interview even if it means I might fail.
I'm a data scientist, I'm looking for hard problems to solve. Hair on fire "This is causing lemon-law recalls and we can't solve it."[1] type problems.
I love avant garde problems, and have a pretty unique toolset (LLMs+KB, OR+ML, etc). I've worked with names you know in automotive, tech, and other spaces. Recently I've been working with Oil & Gas - Production estimates, pricing, and things I'm not allowed to talk about.
I've worked on projects including LLMs, knowledge extraction, automotive part failure prediction, translation, maintenance optimization, automated sports highlights, and more. I've also done some more interesting work including vehicle route planning in constrained environments.
Get in touch. Even if you're unsure, get in touch. Referals welcome. Email in profile.

Hi, I’m EunHye, a software engineer with over six years of experience in ad tech and building data-driven platforms. I’ve worked full-time remotely for a U.S.-based startup, where I developed a customer data streaming platform, integrated third-party APIs, and built dashboards with React to help customers interact with their data.
My experience has given me a strong foundation in working with distributed global teams and thriving in international remote setups.
I’m currently seeking opportunities to bring my skills and expertise to an innovative and forward-thinking team. If you know of any opportunities or would like to connect, I’d love to hear from you. Thank you so much for your time!
P.S. You can see more specifics about my experience and the technologies I use on my website: https://choicode.com

Hi, I'm Andrew Trettel. I'm a scientist with a PhD in mechanical engineering looking for any potential opportunities outside of academia and research labs. I have over a decade of experience in scientific research, especially on the numerical side. I have years of experience in writing software for and running large simulations on high-performance computing (HPC) systems. I have also developed software for non-scientific purposes, like creating user interfaces for desktop applications. I have years of experience working with large datasets, including the tasks of calculating statistics and developing hypotheses/models/theories from data. I've worn many hats over the years and love learning new and interesting topics.
