I develop apps for experienced operators who want to start their own business.
It averages well over $500 / month in side income. Typically about $3-5K depending on the amount of time I have.
I spent perhaps a decade pushing going independent due to inability to get a product ready. I ended up learning the skills and now to solve that pain point for others.
We've been running the web site for a few years now (just past 1000 daily games!) and we just launched iOS and Android apps in the last couple months! Its been quite a learning experience for sure!
We handcraft each game my pulling audio quotes from different media available on the internet and also from the original sources. We also have a workflow to pull clips from clip.cafe via their API (with a workflow process to extract the audio only and generate subtitles and other cool stuff) but we usually still trim and normalize those by hand too.
Basically it’s a code review UI on GitHub for ex-Googlers who miss Critique.
I buy in for 500 and can make 1-200 a session.
But a session is ~8 hours, so I stopped and use that time to study or work a job outside my field that has health benefits that is less fun than playing Texas Hold 'Em.
The website needs some love, but the webapp is going well.
This is mostly because of the posts gaining high engagement and people signing up and subscribing. Many also migrating from other apps.
Expecting the revenue to go down next month
