Hey Jared, we spoke when I interviewed about 10 months ago. Since then I became a user and actually used some features as inspiration for an app in the fitness space I was working on.

I just reapplied but wanted to double check if 10 months is past the cooldown policy? Regardless, still a big fan!

jaredsilver 1/6/2026||
Thanks for the kind words, and glad to hear you drew inspiration from us for the fitness app! Since interviewing is a big time investment on both sides, we generally recommend reapplying once there's been a material change in experience or skill that makes it very clear you'd be an especially strong fit. We'll take a look at your application and follow up!

Shorebird | Mid-Senior C++/Runtime OR Dart/Cloud Engineers | REMOTE (North America) | Full-time | $150-230k + equity + benefits | https://shorebird.dev

Flutter/Shorebird founder here. Flutter is used by millions of devs (and nearly ⅓ of free apps submitted to AppStore), but is missing services for businesses. We offer Flutter-related SAAS used by 1000s businesses globally, on track to profitability early 2026.

As part of our over-the-air updates “code push” product, we’ve built a custom compiler and runtime for the Dart language, primarily written by me (founder/CEO). We need a fulltime engineer to take over primary responsibility for all of our C++ code (Dart & Flutter forks, custom runtime, compiler, etc.) and evolve it further than I could alone. You don’t need to be a compiler/runtime expert. You do need to be capable of working on large open source projects, be comfortable with C++, want to work at a startup, work well independently (we’re remote) and want to learn and work on lots of different areas of code. If you’ve contributed at least a little to WebKit, Godot, Firefox, or any other open source project and are at least compiler/runtime curious, you will likely find this role extremely rewarding.

For our second role: we serve 10s of millions of devices daily from our cloud, (2k+ RPS sustained), built mostly in Dart on Google Cloud + CloudFlare. We’re in the process of launching a CI product and have a lot of cloud development work ahead of us. You need some cloud experience, want to work at a startup, and be willing to work in Dart (what our customers use).

We’re a small, senior team, making something people want. Tech: GCP, Cloudflare, React, Dart, C++, Rust. Shorebird operates almost entirely in the public over Discord. https://discord.gg/shorebird

Farmgirl Flowers | https://farmgirlflowers.com | Remote (US or EU timezones) | Senior Software Engineer

I’m the Director of Engineering at Farmgirl Flowers, an online flower shop with a loyal customer base. We're looking for a product-minded engineer who can own projects end-to-end and keep things simple, safe, and maintainable.

We're a small team of three, so communication is fast and your impact will be immediately visible. We value pragmatism over "perfect" - shipping useful solutions matters more than polishing forever.

Stack: Rails 8, MySQL, Heroku, AWS, a little React -> moving toward Hotwire.

Email me at ignacy [at] farmgirlflowers.com to know more!

ibnballo1 1/11/2026||
Hi, can i apply since i can work in those timezones but i am not based in those locations. Also, i tried visiting the website but it says "Unfortunately Farmgirl Flowers is not available in your country."
ericmcer 1/7/2026||
Is there a reason you have a full on dev team and use React instead of just wordpress/squarespace? What product needs prompted building it all yourself?

Also holy cow the homepage was 50mb and took 12s to load. No offense but that is kind of nuts. Consider lazy loading everything below the fold instead of just ramming 50mb of media through at the same time.

kspe 1/8/2026||
Thanks for the question, there are things related to shipping routing, custom packages handling and ops related requirements that were easier to do using custom app than Wordpress/Squarespace. There is always a trade-off to make here and the decision was made to go with custom app (which is our platform that evolved over last 10 years).

Thanks for pointing out media loading times, half of that bandwidth is related to the video we show on the home page, we plan to optimise a lot of things that were pushed "for later" before upcoming Valentines Day.

Mason | Software Engineer | Fulltime | San Francisco | thisismason.com

We're building an agent to manage single family rental properties across the United States. We currently manage ~4,000 homes, are growing quickly, and are looking for full stack, backend leaning engineers who would love to contribute to a state of the art agent.

I've written a bit about our culture + product before:

Out of curiosity, do you offer visa sponsorship? I'm graduating from a US university this Fall with a Stats/CS degree, but I took 2 gap years just to manage my aging father's rental property business in my home country, Kenya.

I'm a software engineer but (thanks to my elderly father) I know the super fine details of rental property management.

For what it's worth, when I started out in 2023, the business was -1.3 million USD in construction debt. In 2025, 2 years into my role and we're at no debt, 34 fully occupied homes and 3 luxury villa sales. I can 100% provide documentation to prove this.

Sent an email a couple weeks ago! Just a bump to be on the lookout for it!
randomsofr 1/2/2026||
I wouldn't wait on this. The post has been up for a long time and appears to only be collecting CVs. I applied early last year and never got a response, and many others report the same.
markbao 1/3/2026|||
Hi randomsofr, this posting has been continually posted since we are hiring on a rolling basis, not just for a single position. We have made hires for this position over time and continue to have openings.

We mention in our post-submission message that we only reach out if there’s a match, to spare applicant inboxes from negative messages (though perhaps we could make this messaging clearer). This follows what some companies such as Anthropic do and some of the reasoning in this post https://pablofernandez.tech/2023/02/03/you-should-not-send-r...

But I know that different people have different opinions on this, and we might shift to sending notification emails after resume review. I appreciate the feedback and I’m sorry about your experience here.
