Durable Objects is the Cloudflare Developer Platform's product for building stateful serverless applications.
We are hiring:

- Senior level product engineers: https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/cloudflare/jobs/7408167
- An engineering manager with systems engineering experience: https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/cloudflare/jobs/7493943
Hi Josh,
Thanks for sharing this. I’m very interested in the Senior Systems Engineer role on Durable Objects.
My background is in building and operating production distributed systems and backend services, with a strong focus on correctness, state management, failure handling, and observability. Stateful systems at scale are exactly the kind of problems I enjoy working on.
I’ll apply via the Greenhouse link, and happy to provide more context if helpful.
Best, Son Nguyen
> Please state the location and include REMOTE for remote work, REMOTE (US) or similar if the country is restricted, and ONSITE when remote work is not an option.
We have preferences in terms of where we hire, but remote work is an option depending on the individual and where they are located.
So some jobs are hybrid onsite and some are fully remote but even if i said just now that all jobs can be remote, some jobs aren’t really fully remote because I can’t envision it in my mind that they would be effective fully remote, even though I myself am fully remote.”
Did I understand what you wrote properly?

I tried applying via the careers terminal, but it stays in shell mode on my end and doesn’t start the interactive flow (likely a browser or JS init issue), so I’ll also reach out via email.
The work you’re doing around decentralized coordination and sandboxed execution is exactly the kind of systems engineering I’m interested in.
Responsibilities include the training of generative models and anything that contributes to the betterment of their capabilities -- profiling / optimizing their throughput, scaling training runs, tuning of hyperparameters / data mixes, etc. If it makes the model better, it's fair game!
Depending on the project, you will likely be involved in some combination of AR model training, diffusion model training, midtraining, post-training, multimodal training, etc.
As you can likely surmise, we're looking for folks who are flexible and comfortable wearing many hats. If this sounds like you and you're interested in working in a research environment, consider applying!
