I would say an impossibly long way.
Unless the idea is to have a new kind of media, distinct from classic games.
Games are a form of communication in arts between the designer and the player.
Ai generated content is at best the ikea flat pack replacement. Utilitarian and you feel nothing.
Anything meaningful and worthwhile spending time on must come from something that carries meaning.
