M.S. Computer Science student at North Carolina State University, GPA 3.83/4.0, GSSP Fellow, with experience across machine learning, software engineering, computer vision, ML infrastructure, generative AI, scientific computing, and applied data science.
I have built large-scale ML pipelines, experiment-tracking platforms, model-evaluation systems, anomaly-detection workflows, and reproducible ML infrastructure for real-world time-series and imaging data. My work includes computer-vision pipelines for fluorescence microscopy, confidence-aware time-series classification, diffusion/transformer-based scientific imaging research, and real-time wearable-sensor ML for Samsung Galaxy Watch.
I am especially interested in roles where I can build production-grade AI systems: applied ML, AI engineering, backend/data infrastructure for ML, computer vision, LLM/RAG systems, agentic AI tools, data science, and model evaluation platforms.
Interested in: Software Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, AI Engineer, Applied Scientist, Data Scientist, Computer Vision Engineer, Generative AI Engineer, and ML Infrastructure roles. Open to startups and larger companies.

Hi, I'm Madison Rickert, a senior software engineer who has been shipping code to production for over 20 years. Experienced engineering leader, presently all-in on agentic engineering, shipping code daily and finding new ways to push the envelope on its capabilities.
I'm an active contributor to several open-source MCP servers, build agent-first CLI tools, solve computer vision problems, and maintain a growing library of agent skills and agent harnesses I rely on daily. For the past five-plus years I've been a partner and the in-house technical force at a creative studio. Before that, I was a senior IC and fractional engineering lead for a variety of startups and nonprofits, working across the full stack and mentoring teams of up to 5. I have a penchant for both business and personal finance. Across my businesses and clients, I've been responsible for managing organizational finances and countless projects with typical budgets in the 5 to 6 figure range. Over the years this led me into financial automation, and I have several open-source projects in my portfolio in areas around agentic financial automation and investment management. I'm also a working musician, and a hyper-organized Burning Man camp lead, best known around the Northern California festival scene for my saxophone performances for crowds up to 3,000 people.
I'm pivoting back to senior IC engineering after a long stretch as partner-operator. I'm excited to keep expanding the capabilities of AI, and my creative-tech and financial background will be a real asset to the right organization. If you're building software for creative work, media systems, music tech, financial tools, or AI tooling, I'd love to hear about it.

I’m a senior generalist engineer with founding-style ownership. I like building systems end-to-end: protocol and product code, backend platforms, infrastructure, internal tools, and product-facing surfaces. Several times I was either an initial or an early hire in small and large-scale projects and products.
I spent six years in building backend platforms for massive-scale product at Strikerz/UFL (uflgame.com) and Vizor Games. I was an early hire, working directly with the CTO to build the infrastructure and design the system from the ground up. I engineered microservices, public and internal apis, and data pipelines for analytics(Kafka, Postgres, ClickHouse). I managed Kubernetes, observability, internal tooling in Python and JS, and took part in high-stakes production launches.
For the last two years, I was a founding engineer at Decent Land Labs - an early-stage decentralized storage protocol with EVM support and permament Arweave-based data settlement. I worked across the stack: developed protocol-level abstractions, nodes, bootstrapped infrastructure, DevOps, and smart-contracts, built private AI agent harnesses, ran multi-agent tests, and used LLMs for spec review and cross-client protocol design research and data gathering.
I built my engineering foundation in enterprise Business Intelligence and Data Architecture. I shipped large-scale data warehouses (OLAP) for global companies (pharma, logistics), writing heavily optimized Oracle PL/SQL and T-SQL.
Open source: Merged contributions to the Ethereum ecosystem, including the Reth client in Rust, Flashbots SUAVE, and Alloy.
These days, I'm spending time on applied AI and LLM design, RL and models fine-tuning, inference and AI compute. I'm a fan of Ruby, Rails and Zig.
Looking for: founding engineer, senior/staff software engineer, full-stack or backend roles where broad ownership and technical depth matter.
