I have written POS applications (VB to SQL Server), managed large parts of the PCI stuff. Wrote medical applications (VB, Crystal Reports, SQL Server). Managed small dev teams. Acted as the implementation team with those products when new. Provided third level support/final person to call support. Did report writing/SQL optimization as data sets grew. Provided IT support from old RS6000s through to Windows Server/SQL Server. Later moved to IT management and ran a small (me+3) corporate team. Managed things like ERP/MPR upgrades/process improvements, custom factory floor dash boards, etc. Good a big picture stuff, troubleshooting.

Then I blew up my life and am now un-employable with a unsavory criminal history. My software skills are out of date (maybe my SQL skills are still useful) but would be willing to work fairly cheap for any role. My home is paid for and my costs are low. I would love to move out of physical labor and use my mind again, and find someone willing to give me a second chance. But my history will be off putting to most.

Location: United Kingdom Remote: Yes Willing to relocate: Yes (within the UK) Technologies: Java, TypeScript, Spring Boot, React, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL Résumé/CV: https://github.com/nifski Email: nifemiodumosu@icloud.com Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/oluwanifemi-odumosu-b531862a3?ut...

I am a backend-leaning full-stack engineer experienced in building production systems across Java/Spring Boot, Node.js/TypeScript, and Python. I thrive on solving complex backend problems, managing enterprise-grade infrastructure, and automating data-intensive processes.

Engineering Experience & Achievements:

Enterprise Backend & Pricing Logic: Navigated and troubleshot complex, enterprise-grade pricing engines. Traced intricate business logic through the data layer, stored procedures, and configuration scoring systems to accurately resolve high-stakes financial discrepancies. Systemic Problem Solving: Spearheaded large-scale SQL investigations, identifying systemic batch-job failures that affected over 110,000 accounts and billions in stranded funds. Strengthened platform stability by tracing logic mismatches across frontend and backend environments, engineering bulk database corrections, and writing integration tests to validate complex caching behaviors.

Full-Stack Development & Conversion: Led backend development for a content-prediction platform, taking the product from concept to a live environment. Rebuilt high-traffic company websites, driving a 15% increase in user conversion rates through re-engineered React interfaces and optimized backend infrastructure.

Data Engineering & Pipelines: Architected data processing flows and model pipelines in Python, establishing the foundational frameworks for optimization intelligence layers. Engineered automated data ingestion and sanitization pipelines for high-dimensional datasets to support proprietary AI analysis.

Key Projects:

Production Data-Harvesting: Engineered a modular Python/Playwright engine for B2B lead generation, leveraging stealth browsing, proxy integrations, and Pydantic schemas to maintain 99%+ uptime and high data integrity.

Secure Systems: Architected a zero-trust multi-tenant application with database-level isolation, Spring Security 6/JWT authentication, and ACID-compliant PostgreSQL schemas.

Personal Automation: Built and maintained a self-built infrastructure of terminal-based Python CLI tools for daily productivity, automated via MacOS LaunchAgents.

I'm a Platform Engineer / DevOps Engineer / Site Reliability Engineer with 6+ years of experience building secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP. My work has focused on Kubernetes platforms, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability, cloud security, and cost optimization across fintech, SaaS, retail, logistics, and enterprise environments.

I'm currently a Systems Engineer at MelodyArc, working on the Home Depot account, where I build and manage enterprise Kubernetes platforms on GCP. My work includes CI/CD pipelines, ingress, DNS, infrastructure automation, and supporting production workloads running at scale.

Previously at Furlenco, I led the DevOps and Data Engineering platform supporting around 80 engineers. Some of the work I'm most proud of includes reducing AWS infrastructure costs from approximately $20K/month to $11K/month, automating infrastructure with Terraform and Helm, implementing IAM database authentication, introducing HashiCorp Vault, and improving deployment reliability across production environments.

Before that, at One2N, I worked as a Site Reliability Engineer focused on platform engineering. I built internal developer platforms using Terraform and Atlantis, migrated observability from Datadog to Grafana and Loki, optimized GCP infrastructure costs by approximately 15%, reduced Airflow infrastructure costs by over $10K annually, and helped recover and stabilize production Kubernetes clusters during critical incidents.

Outside my day job, I'm an AWS Subject Matter Expert (Item Writer & Reviewer) contributing to AWS Certification development. I also completed all 12 AWS Certifications in just 44 days and regularly contribute technical reviews and exam content for AWS Training & Certification.

The thread connecting everything I do is simple: I enjoy taking infrastructure that's expensive, fragile, or difficult to operate and turning it into platforms that are automated, observable, secure, reliable, and boring to run.

I'm primarily looking for Senior Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, Cloud Architecture, or Solutions Architecture roles with globally distributed teams.

Location: Orange County, CA (Pacific Time) Remote: Yes (preferred); hybrid Orange County also fine Willing to relocate: No Technologies: Python, Go, SQL | FastAPI, Django, Vue, HTMX | Postgres, TimescaleDB, DuckDB, Redis | Temporal, Airflow, NATS | AWS (S3/RDS/EC2/Redshift), Docker, Kubernetes | Prometheus/Grafana | LLMs in production (RAG, eval, orchestration, structured extraction) Resume/CV: https://brojonat.com/Jon_Brown_Resume.pdf Website / writing: https://brojonat.com GitHub: https://github.com/brojonat Email: brojonat@gmail.com

PhD-trained engineer/manager (astronomy by training -- data is data). Currently Senior Data Science Manager at Hyundai Motor America's North American Safety Office, where I build large-scale vehicle telemetry pipelines, LLM-driven classification and RAG over enterprise data, and led department-wide LLM/AI adoption from technical workshops to production SDLC.

Previously managed a data science team at HeadSpin: built data science pipelines, killed error-prone spreadsheet workflows with proper APIs and dashboards, reimplemented the flagship data product to reduce costs, latency, and churn.

Looking for senior data / platform sorts of roles. Equally happy IC or manager -- I just want to ship. Open to full-time or fractional/contract; happy to even work on small projects you want to send my way to help get to know each other.

I build a lot on my own time, and the side projects are probably the best read on how I work:

- forohtoo -- Go service for awaiting Solana payments via SSE/NATS, with a clean `Await(memo, amount)` SDK. Writeup: https://brojonat.com/posts/forohtoo/ - IncentivizeThis (https://incentivizethis.com) -- bounty-based authentic ad platform using LLM-as-judge across Reddit, YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, HN, TripAdvisor. Writeup: https://brojonat.com/posts/incentivizethis/ - If I Go Missing (https://if-i-go-missing.com) -- dead-man's-switch service (Go + Temporal + Postgres + Twilio + Stripe). - IYBI ("If You Build It [They Will Come]", https://iybi-twc.com) -- websites for independent workers, managed entirely by email. Customer pays via Stripe, emails an AI agent (Claude + Cloudflare Email Worker + R2 + K8s CronJob), the agent researches them, builds the site, and handles ongoing updates. My own consulting site runs on it.

Mostly Go or Python services running on my personal k8s cluster. Happy to talk shop or small projects we could work on together to assess fit.
