I’m a senior engineer and software architect working with teams that are starting to strain under growth, complexity, or delivery pressure.
Over the last ~10 years I’ve been working with startups and established companies, primarily in roles where I take end-to-end technical responsibility: from system design through implementation and production operation, while remaining hands-on in delivery.
Recent work includes leading the architecture, implementation, and operational ownership of a distributed platform for venture capital workflows, as well as building and maintaining a production survey fulfillment system. Both engagements included mentoring and coordinating engineers alongside delivery. More details can be found at https://robinsiep.com.
I’m primarily available for contract work, but open to longer-term roles with the right fit.
I have lead product teams at:
- Grafana Labs (Loki, k6)
- Sauce Labs (Sauce Orchestrate, Modern Frameworks)
- Cloudflare (Workers KV, Cloudflare Queues, Pub/Sub)
- Salesforce (Mobile Platform)
I am looking to get more focused on the people side of tech, either through expanding into a role where I help other PMs grow & succeed or through pivoting to UX Research or Developer Advocacy. I am also looking for volunteer OSS opportunities.
I prefer to be in roles where I have high agency and the ability to act directly.

Senior Product Designer,+ 5 years in B2B SaaS and fintech, 20+ in visual design and art direction. I turn complex, data-dense workflows into interfaces people can actually use. At a Kansas City fintech I cut onboarding drop-off ~15% by reworking the flow around where users actually dropped, and laid the foundations of the design system.
I work close to engineering: I prototype with AI-assisted tools and HTML/CSS, so I validate flows before they hit code and hand off things that are ready to build. Lo oking for full-time product design or design systems work.

At Meta, I built onboarding flows across Instagram and Facebook on native Android/iOS apps, driving ~7% global DAU, and internal tools used by 500+ employees daily. In previous internships, I developed AI systems for large-scale text analysis and backend/data infrastructure to process trillions of events. Outside of work, I enjoy keeping up with the latest AI research and building side projects. I’m especially excited by user-facing systems, large-scale infrastructure, and intelligent product experiences. I want to work at a faster pace company with an ambitious mission and lot of hard problems to solve.Location: Czechia, EU Remote: Yes Willing to relocate: No Technologies: Figma, Open Design, Elixir BEAM, Node JS/TS, Python, Swift, Ruby, some Rust, Go Résumé/CV: https://josefrichter.design/cv Email: josef.richter@me.com

Hello! So I'm on an open work permit in Canada, and looking for Canadian employers specifically. I don't need a sponsorship; just need to tick that employment requirement so I can file for a permanent permit. Thanks!
