Ask HN: What are you reading?

I'm plowing through the Dungeon Crawler Carl series, which is not particularly challenging as sci-fi/LitRPG goes, but entertaining enough. I'm also wrapping up Doctorow's _Enshittification_, and I'm looking for something a little meaty to keep the brain working...

Currently taking a brief break from the History of Middle-earth series (The Lays of Beleriand is astonishingly beautiful) to read a fascinating book called Fascist Yoga, about how the wellness movement has some surprising links with white supremacism.

Currently going through Pale Fire by Vladimir Nabokov. It's... challenging for the non-native english speaker I am, but still very untertaining. I've been getting out of my comfort zone lately, as a lifelong Sci-Fi aficionado, with every other book on my "to read" pile being non-fiction or experimental like Pale Fire.

Material world and chip wars. Both brilliant. Material world highlights our human ingenuity with an optimism for the future as it outlines our exploitation of the worlds resources over history up to the present time.

Chips wars, for me as a dev without a strong hardware background is a fascinating read into the history of Silicon Valley, from the 50s right up to nvidia and Taiwan semiconductor.

I recently read this and followed it up with "Only the paranoid survive", a story of Intel by Andy Grove.

A Suitable Boy by Vikram Seth. One of the longest English novels, but it has got me hooked. I love how descriptive the prose is. I can almost see the events happen in front of my eyes. There's a bbc adaptation as well, but I was enraged by it so I can't recommend it.

I just finished Domain-Driven Transformation by Lilienthal & Schwentner. It's the book I've been seeking for years.

I'm currently reading More Fearless Change by Manns & Rising. I've always enjoyed being a change agent, and I would've been more effective if I'd read this book a decade ago.

Next up, I plan to read Facilitating Software Architecture by Harmel-Law.

Oh, and every day or two I read aloud a chapter of Magic and Meaning Expanded by Burger & Neale to my wife. We're both magicians and big fans of Eugene Burger's work.
