Loading PRs on GH is dog slow for me. If they could improve the performance and availability, otherwise Idgaf

Especially on PRs with a lot of commentary. It's tiring to keep clicking "load more"

Yeah, I’ve noticed that GitHub seems very ok with having careless and obvious AI generated text in their public posts. It’s sad.

I wonder, do they not notice? Do they not think we do? Do they not care about the quality of their copy? If not, why on earth would anyone conclude that they care more about the product? There is so much evidence that they do not care, this is yet another piece of data to add to the pile.

Again, it’s just so sad that a company which used to be justifiably beloved has become so miserable and incompetent.

Or they’re blind to it now like many people that have fully given up all cognitive control to chatbots.

I simply do not believe that.

I (like most people in tech) use LLMs every day at work. If anything it has made me much more sensitive to claudespeak.

I know several people who work at GitHub. The idea that they are somehow different from the rest of us who smell that shit a mile away simply does not scan to me.

Then you’re part of the group that hasn’t given up cognitive control. There are people out there so deep in the sauce they don’t see anything wrong with it anymore. You can even see it here in some comments where people have adopted llm-isms isn’t their own speech.

But these people do exist, I was just talking to one a few weeks ago where they were surprised that I pushed back on a document for being slop text, they didn’t even notice how bad it was until they stopped and really read it.

You need to realize that a lot of end workers are getting pushed to do this by managers to show "efficiency" and toe the line.

Yeah, this is embarrassing. They're launching a new feature with fanfare and can't be bothered to write a handful of sentences about it?
