Ask HN: Freelancer? Seeking freelancer? (July 2025)

Please lead with either SEEKING WORK or SEEKING FREELANCER, your location, and whether remote work is a possibility.

Please only post if you are personally looking to hire a freelancer or work as one. Agencies, recruiters, job boards, and so on, are off topic here.

SEEKING WORK | Remote

I'm a full-stack developer with expertise in Python, Hugo, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. My preferred stack is Python for backend and Tailwind CSS with Daisy UI for frontend, building clean, functional, and visually appealing applications. I have extensive experience deploying static sites (Cloudflare, Vercel, Netlify, GitHub Pages) and building Flask/serverless applications. With a background in Renewable Energy, I bring a unique analytical edge and a love for data visualizations. I also excel at product engineering, converting complex requests into manageable tasks, and prioritize well-documented, organized code. Passionate about open-source and helping people build their own personal blogs (like rishikeshs.com). I also run the "10+1 Things" newsletter (~3k readers).

SEEKING WORK | Boston, MA USA | REMOTE | Technical Copywriter

Have a new product launching soon? Or some content you have been meaning to get to?

Hi, I'm Jeremy, an ex-software engineer who writes about tech. After helping build a cloud storage unicorn, I got into teaching developers and found out that I'm pretty good at making complicated stuff make sense. Now I write technical content mainly for SaaS companies. Happy to also chat about open-source, cloud architecture, or where tech content is heading.

If you want to learn more, reach out to me at mail@jeremybarbosa.com

My Main Services

- Blog Writing: I turn complex tech topics into articles people actually want to read. Whether it's deep dives for your engineering audience or guides that won't scare off beginners.

- Topic Planning: Not sure what to write about? I look deep into what your users care about and map out content that'll actually help them while helping you grow.

- SEO That Makes Sense: No keyword stuffing here - just strategic writing that helps you show up when people Google their problems.

SEEKING WORK | Remote | CET Location: around 46/14 In past 20 years did many different projects, mostly worked with teams 1-5. 60% of projects were related to sport and TV, rest was various other fields. I was jumping between leading, architecting, designing, programming and things in-between :)

Last years I programmed mostly in C# (web services, aspnet, razor, ...) also desktop apps (WinForms, WPF, Avalonia), JS/Typescript (mostly for gui, I enjoyed mithril and now SolidJS). I also did some c++ for various small integrations (for example some plugin for Godot, some ffmpeg, ...) and lately studying Rust. Mostly worked with GPC 70% , AWS 20%, other 10%.

I like to make GUI/backends that makes sense, are easy to understand (test with users) and performant/fast. Also to last years, with minimum dependencies.

I also have experience with live events setup for small broadcast of events, networking experience

I did tons of remote support with people around the world, also know how to use this information to make better programs (or design...).

I do not have any experience with AI.

Looking for 20-100 hours per month.
