We’re building the inference platform for visual intelligence. We’re a deeply technical team of AI / computer-vision engineers (20+ years combined, MIT/CMU/NC State PhDs) who’ve shipped production ML infra across autonomous driving and LLMs.
We launched the VLM Run Gateway (https://vlm.run/gateway) in September, a unified API that serves open-weight VLMs, embodied VLAs, ViTs, served across a fleet of GPUs and clouds. That's exactly the infrastructure problem this role will own. We're already scaling to serve 100s of thousands of requests per day, so if this sounds exciting to you, read on.
Email us at hiring@vlm.run with your GitHub profile, papers, ML projects you’ve recently shipped (100+ GH stars only) - especially with Ray, k8s, GPUs, serverless. No AI text please, keep it short, shorter emails are more likely to get a response. No remote work, must be in the Bay Area (specify in email subject).

Hi HN! We’re a YC-backed, Series-A startup building robots that build large-scale solar farms.
We just published a new video of our production system here! https://youtu.be/ix0oMgqTfko
It turns out that construction companies literally can't build solar fast enough, so what we're doing is a crucial part of switching the grid over to renewable generation.
You’ll be a key contributor, helping bring our next generation of mobile solar factory to life.
Come work with us if you love:
* Fast-paced prototype development with software and hardware components
* Making a positive climate impact through your work
* Hacking on massive construction equipment!

Tangram Vision has been awarded a Phase II SBIR from NASA to implement operator-free multi-modal calibration on the lunar surface, a system we're calling AutoCal. Read more about the grant here (https://www.tangramvision.com/blog/tangram-vision-awarded-na...).
We are looking for qualified candidates to research, implement, and improve AutoCal for both NASA's applications and those of any other robotics and automation system. The ideal Calibration Engineer candidate has real-world calibration experience through robotics, autonomous vehicles, or industry. A successful candidate has not only developed calibration systems and products, but has iterated on and improved that product once deployed. They have worked with multi-modal data from a variety of sensors and systems, and they have implemented odometry solutions from fundamentals.

Veo makes an AI sports camera. One camera on any pitch records the match from several sensors, stitches them into one continuous view, and our models track every player and the ball for the whole game. Coaches and players get stats like goals, possession and passes.
You will build Rust and Python user-space apps on our embedded Linux camera, and help shape the firmware architecture and Linux platform. You won't be writing drivers or doing low-level hardware work. Day to day that means Yocto system services, D-Bus and device trees, BLE/Wi-Fi with GATT and Protobuf protocols to our mobile apps, cloud integrations (REST, S3, OpenTelemetry), and diagnostics across a fleet of devices. You will work closely with our AI, video and cloud teams.
Stack: Rust, Python, C, Yocto/OpenEmbedded (meta-tegra), Zephyr, NixOS, GitHub Actions, AWS S3, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Loggly.
Looking for: 5+ years of experience, fluency in at least two of Rust/Python/C, and experience with embedded Linux (Yocto) and BLE/Wi-Fi. MCU/RTOS experience is a plus.
Our Copenhagen office has an indoor ball court, a rooftop terrace and a gym.
Hi, we are a small group trying to bring the "trustworthy" feature back to tech. Curating and building a FOSS+ toolset, storefront, and eventually online service—all to support freedom, privacy, and informed consent—on device and on the net.
We've written our thoughts and research down at: https://trustworthy.technology/ and we have a few geeks starting projects at: https://codeberg.org/aol
First off, you'll notice that you've probably not heard about this project before. Next, the message is a bit scattered, and the "programmer art," while arguably not horrible isn't winning any awards either, haha.
That's where you come in.
You are one of the few folks who really cares about this stuff, and also a graphic/product designer, or perhaps a digital marketer, communicator or "people whisperer." (Being in the EU would be helpful as well, to work from the digital sovereignty angle, though not required.) Geeks are welcome too.
Some of us are unemployed and currently donating our time. Maybe you are too, or retired/cashed-out and bored. Consider this another FOSS-like project. We hope the store/service will make money, but we're not there yet.
Interested? Let's chat at: https://trustytech.zulipchat.com/join/ivui3uglp2at3tyltau7jj...
BTW, if/when you join please say hi and let us know what kind of projects you're interested in.
